Description |

Seville Quarter began as the dream of Bob Snow, a Minnesota native, who was a virtuoso trumpet player, Dixieland band leader, naturally gifted designer, builder and energetic entrepreneur. Snow fell in love with Pensacola while in Navy Flight training.
Starting with $1,100, his horn and his heart, Snow started Rosie O'Grady's in the old Pensacola Cigar & Tobacco Company warehouse on Government Street. Opening night was August 16, 1967. This complex houses many of downtown Pensacola's favorite late night spots including Rosie O'Grady's, Lili Marlene's, Phineas Phogg's Balloon Works, Apple Annie's Courtyard, End o' the Alley Bar and Fast Eddie's Billiard Parlor. Just a few steps down the east alleyway, the first door to your right opens into Rosie O'Grady's Good Time Emporium. Located at the west end of Seville Quarter, Phineas Phogg's Balloon Works is a two-story dance club and Pensacola's home for the young at heart. There's no better place on the Gulf Coast to enjoy the hottest high-energy dance music! Directly across from the door to Rosie O'Grady's is the entrance to Lili Marlene's World War I Aviators Pub. Lili's is a favorite gathering place for professionals, businessmen and ladies of Pensacola. Apple Annie's, the all so versatile room! This spacious ballroom and beautiful courtyard is perfect for holiday parties, business functions, rehearsal dinner, birthday or anniversary parties, special luncheons or a wedding and reception. Enjoy the ambience of the room and magnificent courtyard fountain, all a backdrop for pictures and memories to last a lifetime. Across the back of Seville Quarter is the open-air End O' the Alley Bar and Seville Quarter Courtyard, a gas light Victorian courtyard. An ever changing variety of entertainment is featured on the courtyard stage, from folk trios to Jamaican steel bands and reggae. Directly north of Lili's, swinging doors open to Fast Eddie's Billiard Parlor, Pensacola's finest pool room (formerly Coppersmith's Galley, a cozy restaurant with a strong maritime flavor). Next to Apple Annie's is the Palace Café (formerly the Palace Oyster Bar), the perfect place to stop in for your morning coffee, latte, cappuccino, or other pick-me-up. You can enjoy the flavors and ambience of the New Orleans French Quarter as you enjoy a plate of hot beignets.
