Description

WHAT WE OFFER

The PMFORUM's Global Project Management Practices Directory is a portal to the world's leading sources of information on globally-accepted project management practices, areas of PM application, project management "techniques" and international PM-related "specific interest groups".

We include a huge Directory of Web Sites of special interest to project management practitioners. These Sites provide an organized and particular source of project management information.

We include the PMFORUM, a focus for information on international project management affairs. The forum is limited to collection of data which deals with a global and national project management discipline. For information on local project management affairs you can use the PMFORUM Directory of Organizations to link to the local National or Regional project management organization and then drill down to sites which contain local project management information.

PMFORUM is an information traffic cop and is a pointer to the resources of the Internet for focused project management information. That is, the majority of the links are to remote web sites of specific project management oriented information. All of these links have been provided by PMFORUM users or project management vendors in a collegial and cooperative attempt to diffuse project management information on a world-wide basis. One might see the PMFORUM as an Internet Project Management Library resource index system.

When you know the exact project information that you need then you can use the site search to locate the pages where the text of your search is. To use the Site Search Engine you type in the keyword or set of keywords that describe the type of information that you are looking for. The PMFORUM Web Site Search Engine will return, indicating which page is most likely to have your information, via a list of pages. You can then select the most likely page according to date or page title.

All of the Expert Resources information has been provided by vendors. Vendor notices on products and services are marketing in nature and by their nature trying to influence you to buy their products or services. The PMFORUM has no way to ensure the accuracy or objectivity of a particular company's submission or press release. It is a case of caveat emptor. The PMFORUM Webmaster visits each Vendor's Web Site but only in the interests of ensuring an accurate link and its quality relevance to the topic.

The Project Management World Today contains the latest notices, reports, news and information related to project management from around the world. Each issue features editorials and presentations by some of the world's leading project management experts, on leading-edge issues and concepts

To serve the international project management community the PMFORUM Web Site maintains a professional and collegial discourse in project management affairs and has a high standard of writing and project management research.

The PMFORUM will publish articles or papers that result from original research and experience in the management of projects. Definitions of project management terms are as defined in the on-line Wideman PM Glossary.

Submissions for prospective publishing in the PMFORUM are subject to peer review and a high standard is maintained of collegial and cooperative discourse of project management key organizational, process and techniques.
